What type of information does the Census Bureau seek?

The 2020 Census form will include a handful of questions that are asked about every person in a household:

  • Name.
  • Relationship to Person 1.
  • Sex.
  • Age.
  • Date of birth.
  • Hispanic origin.
  • Race.

Person 1, the individual filling out the form, is also asked a few additional questions such as whether the home is owned or rented and some clarifying questions about how many people should be counted at that address.
