Several ramps connecting Interstates 635 and 30 are closed overnights this week as part of the $1.7 billion 635 East project to widen and improve I-635 and areas near the I-30 interchange. Various lanes of I-635 between Central Expressway and I-30 and lanes of I-30 near the I-635 interchange are closed overnights as part of the ongoing construction.
Ramps connecting southbound I-635 to I-30 will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through the morning of Sunday, July 3. The ramp from eastbound I-30 to northbound I-635 is closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Sunday, July 3. The ramp from westbound I-30 to northbound I-635 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from the evening of Wednesday, July 29, through the morning of Saturday, July 2.
Other 635 East project work impacting Garland includes:
- The exit from westbound I-635 to Plano Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 30, and from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 30, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 1. Southbound Plano Road will be closed at I-635 from 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, and from 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 30. Northbound Plano Road will be closed at I-635 from 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 30, and from 8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 1. Various lanes of northbound Plano Road are also closed at I-635 from 8 p.m. Monday, June 27, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 28; from 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 29; from 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 2; from 8 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to 8 a.m. Sunday, July 3; and from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 4.
- Various lanes of Jupiter Road are closed in each direction at I-635 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, July 1; from 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 2; from 8 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to 8 a.m. Sunday, July 3; and from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 4.
- Shiloh Road is reduced to one lane in each direction at I-635 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, July 1; from 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 2; from 8 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to 8 a.m. Sunday, July 3; and from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 4. Shiloh is also reduced to one lane in each direction at I-635 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Sunday, July 3.
- Northwest Highway is reduced to one lane in each direction at I-635 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, July 1; from 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 2; from 8 p.m. Saturday, July 2, to 8 a.m. Sunday, July 3; and from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 4 . The westbound I-635 frontage road is closed between Northwest Highway and Shiloh from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, July 1. The entrance to I-635 from Northwest Highway is also closed at those times. The exit from eastbound I-635 to Northwest Highway remains closed long-term until the new bridge and ramp construction are complete.
- The exit from southbound I-635 to Oates Drive is closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Wednesday, June 29.
