As part of the $1.7 billion 635 East project to widen and improve Interstate 635 and areas near the Interstate 30 interchange, various lanes along both directions of I-635 in Garland and along I-30 near the interchange are closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. through the morning of Monday, Oct. 11.

The exit from eastbound Interstate 635 to Northwest Highway is closed to facilitate bridge and ramp construction. The shutdown is expected to last two or three years.
The HOV/Express managed toll lanes on I-635 between Oates Drive and TI Boulevard also remain closed until the project is completed. The rebuilt tolled managed lanes will have shoulders and be separated from the main lanes by concrete barriers.
