Preschool Discovery, for kids ages 3-5, will help develop literacy skills in preparation for school. The story times will consist of different themes every week including family, love, holidays, friendship, animals and food, which in turn will highlight our vast youth collection.

Este tiempo de cuentos en Español se dedica a preparar a su hijo para ingresar a la escuela. Acompáñenos para unos cuentos y cantos mientras aprendemos sobre temas escolares y lo más importante, las habilidades necesarias para leer. (This Spanish Storytime is dedicated to preparing your child for entering school. Join us for stories and songs as we learn school subjects and, most importantly, the skills needed to read.)

Interested in reading and discussing books with other library patrons? Join us for the book club at the South Garland Branch Library as we discuss a different book each month and enjoy light refreshments.

Come chat with other teens about recent reads, all-time favorites, books you didn't get, or books you couldn't put down. No assigned book - read what you want, or come for recommendations!

The Community Multicultural Commission meets at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.

Please join the District 3 State of the District Town Hall hosted by Councilman Ed Moore. Topics will include an update on the State of the District, District 3 Future Project Developments , Zoning 101, and the introduction of City Staff.
