This event is hosted by the Garland ISD Department of Family and Community Engagement. The purpose of this event is to celebrate Black History Month and provide Garland ISD students an opportunity to showcase their musical talents.

Preschool Discovery, for kids ages 3-5, will help develop literacy skills in preparation for school. The story times will consist of different themes every week including family, love, holidays, friendship, animals and food, which in turn will highlight our vast youth collection.

Este tiempo de cuentos en Español se dedica a preparar a su hijo para ingresar a la escuela. Acompáñenos para unos cuentos y cantos mientras aprendemos sobre temas escolares y lo más importante, las habilidades necesarias para leer. (This Spanish Storytime is dedicated to preparing your child for entering school. Join us for stories and songs as we learn school subjects and, most importantly, the skills needed to read.)

Come to the North Garland Branch Library for a Painting Party. No artistic skills needed!! All supplies and refreshments will be provided. February 23, 2023 at 5pm. Ages 18+.

Adult book club for lovers of mysteries and thrillers. This club meets once a month @ 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Join us for these crash courses in Adulting 101 - learning some basic life skills for being a "responsible" "grown-up."

The City of Garland Cultural Arts Dept. presents a FREE showing of this 2019 film. World-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson works to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner. Admission is FREE and open to the public. Free parking for all Plaza Theatre events will be available at Garland Central Library.
